Wanted to update you all on what we've been learning about and upcoming themes
These past two weeks we've been learning about healthy foods and the children have had many opportunities to try different fruits and vegetables!
We culminated our healthy eating theme with a WONDERFUL (and healthy) Thanksgiving Feast!
Special thanks to all parents and staff who made it such a great success! Special thanks to Dani, Julie & Robyn for being our Staff Liaisons for this event!
Our theme for the next two weeks (starting Nov. 30th) will be ice, snow, winter, igloos, etc.~ a wintry theme :) We will be planning our learning and language activities around this~ it will be fun & COOL! :)
Speaking of cool.......As our season changes and temperatures drop, we will continue to go outside (weather permitting). So we encourage you to have your child wear a warm coat and to send mittens, hat, (snow pants and boots when the snow flies) to school.
Thanks!!

Halloween Party and Friends & Family
Hello Toddler Parents!
For those of you who weren't able to make it for the Halloween Parade here are some pics. The party was lots of fun...and a little confusing for some of the little ones :)
Our next theme for the following 2 weeks will be Friends & Family. To help us learn about friends and family we're going to use the stories of Goldilocks & The Three Bears and The Three Little Pigs. We'll be acting out the stories and have fun with some story-based activities. Some of the vocab we'll focus on will be: bear, bed, eat, broken, house, sleep, big/little, bowl, chair, hot/cold, mama, papa, baby, pig, blow, 3, build, mad, scary, wolf, fall down. We'd encourage you to read these stories at home as well (repetition is so important) and let you child help you tell the story. For example, they can blow on the porridge that's too hot and tell you hot!, or knock on the door of the 3 little pigs and say "Open the door" with a scary voice.
Have fun with it!
~~The Toddler Team...Susan, Dani, Erika, Jan & Jackie
